Almost four years ago, I took on the mantle of leadership of this great and historic hospital.
At that time, I had no doubts about what needed to be done, having previously served as DCMAC in this hospital for two and a half years.
I was acutely aware of the challenges and we had a plan – a plan that was rooted first in engendering staff satisfaction, industrial harmony and interprofessional synergy.
We have achieved much in those regards, as well as in transforming our infrastructure and improving the quality of our services.
We are keenly aware that these could not have happened without the support and prayers of our doctors, nurses, pharmacists, medical laboratory scientists, rehabilitation therapists, administrators, accountants, health assistants, security staff, cleaners… the UBTH Team .
I sincerely thank everyone of you!
I pledge to continue to lead with passion, compassion and inclusiveness, and to always put staff welfare and motivation on the front burner.
I trust that you will continue to support us as we lead, working with us to make UBTH greater and greater still.
