AISHA BUHARI EXTENDS CHARITABLE CONTRIBUTIONS TO UBTH

This, she did through her non-governmental organisation, ” Future Assured Foundation “. She was represented by Dr Zaynab Ikaz-Kassim, a permanent Secretary in the presidency. The wife of the Edo State Governor, Mrs Betsy Obaseki led the team to the Hospital. The Chief Medical Director, Professor Darlington Obaseki, was on hand to receive the August visitors. He expressed gratitude to Her Excellency for choosing UBTH as a beneficiary of the Foundation’s generosity. The patients expressed their gratitude to Her Excellency for her generosity, love and thoughtfulness. The event was also witnessed by the Edo State Commissioner of Health, Dr Patrick Okundia and other top management staff of the Hospital. The University of Benin Teaching Hospital was taken over by the Federal Government on April 1st, 1975 as the fifth teaching hospital coming after Ibadan Teaching Hospital and Lagos Teaching Hospital.
