ABOUT RADIOLOGY

Resident doctors from other department rotate through our department e.g. Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, family Medicine and Surgery. Each resident spends one Month (2-4) weeks in the department. During this period they participate in all departmental activities. This is followed by a presentation in the last week of the posting.

RESIDENCY TRAINING PROGRAMME.

Work schedule are made in respect of the various services available. Residents are made to undergo rotation quarterly, being supervised by consultants. A senior registrar heads each team of residents doctors and the team is guided by the consultants in charge of the duties for each day.

OTHER INFORMATION

Duty rosters are made for Residents doctors, consultants, Radiographers, darkroom technicians and Clerical staff. Samples of daily duty and call duty rosters are included buttressing this assertion. Departmental seminar presentations are held every Tuesday and Thursdays at 8.00am prompt. Residents are assigned topics for detailed and presentations made. All doctors are usually in attendance, rosters are also made to reflect these seminars.

Clinoradiological meeting are held daily with the clinical department, call duty is part of the training and residents doctors, as well as radiographers, takes call each day in the department
