The Chief Medical Director (CMD) of University of Benin Teaching Hospital, Prof. D.E. Obaseki earlier today played host to the Vice Chancellor of University of Benin (UNIBEN) Prof. Lilian Imuetinyan Salami who said she was in UBTH on a familiarization visit.
The Vice Chancellor used the opportunity of the visit to appreciate the CMD and his team for the good job and quality health care services rendered by the hospital not only to the UNIBEN community but the entire populace. She recalled the spirited effort by medical personnel to save the life of the late 600 level UNIBEN Pharmacy student who was shot by unknown gunmen and rushed to the hospital recently among other instances.
The CMD on his part was full of commendation for the VC not only for the visit but also for her developmental strides in administering the University. He lauded the spirit of collaboration between both institutions and sued for its sustenance.
The high point of the visit was the exchange of presents between both Chief Executives.
The Vice Chancellor was accompanied on the visit by the principal officers of the institution including Prof (Mrs.) M. Ebomoyi (DVC Administration), Prof. Ray I. Ozolua (DVC Academics), Prof A.B. Ayinde (DVC Ekenwan), Mr. Ademola Bobola (Registrar), Prof. Luke Obasuyi (Librarian), Dr. Dominic Eichie (Rep bursar), Prof Clem Ighodaro (Dean of Students), Prof. H.O. Okolocha and Dr. Benedicta Ehanire (Public Relations Officer).
Other members of UBTH Management team were Dr. Stanley Okugbo (CMAC), Mr. M.O. Jimoh-Kadiri (Director of Administration), Dr. Amina Okhakhu (DC,MAC Clinical Services), Dr. Esohe Ogboghodo (DC,MAC Research and Training), DDNS Doris Asamah ( Head Nursing Services), Mrs. A. Ogbe (Deputy Director – Finance) and Joshua Uwaila,Esq (Head Public Relations and Protocol).
