The Management of UBTH played host to Dr. Chizoba Barbara Wonodi, MBBS, MPH, DrPH Faculty member John Hopkins School of Public Health and Country Director, International Vaccine Access Centre (IVAC).

The parley focused on how UBTH can contribute to vaccine access and uptake in Nigeria and beyond, among other issues.
A couple of presentations were made and the CMD, Prof D. E. Obaseki, assured her of UBTH’s s readiness to commit more effort and resources to issues of immunization and vaccination in Nigeria.

Dr. Chizoba Wonodi was highly impressed with Management for the pleasant experience she had on the visit. In a post-meeting comment, she had this to say –

thanks to Darlington for inviting me… I was blown away with the UBTH I saw. He has led his team to craft a compelling vision and strategy, underpinned by the values of quality service and teamwork. There are obvious results, not just in pristine conditions I met the hospital, but also the top score they’ve received for quality.

This is yet another commendation for the Management of UBTH on the excellent work it is doing.
