Dr Ngozi Carol Onyeagwara

Dr Ngozi Carol Onyeagwara is a consultant otorhinolaryngologist, Head and Neck Surgeon with University of Benin/Teaching Hospital where she not only lectures students but also looks after patients with Ear,Nose,throat,head and neck diseases as well as teach resident doctors in same and allied areas.
Born in Amaimo in Ikeduru local government area if Imo state to Late Mr & Mrs Patrick Onyeagwara of blessed memory,she started her secondary education at Annunciation girl’s juniorate Ogoja in CrossRiver state with Grade 1; after her primary education at Amaimo Central school.
she proceeded to University of Port Harcourt where she obtained a B.sc in Zoology with 2`1 and was the best graduating student that year. She later proceeded to read medicine after NYSC and graduated in 1998.
She did her internship in University of Benin Teaching Hospital and later proceeded to specialize in ENTHNS and obtained the fellowship of West African College of Surgeons and National postgraduate medical college of Nigeria in 2009. Employed as a lecturer in UNIBEN same year and consultant in UBTH in January 2010.
Has over 39publications among which was ENT disirders among geriatric population in Benin City.
Have supervised and supervising well over 21dessertstions.
A member of many professional bodies including NMA,MWAN,ORLSON,WACS,NPNCN.
Has been associate with the geriatric team UBTH for many years.
she loves singing, humanitarian activities and cooking.

The University of Benin Teaching Hospital was taken over by the Federal Government on April 1st, 1975 as the fifth teaching hospital coming after Ibadan Teaching Hospital and Lagos Teaching Hospital.
