Magdalene Obichie is a highly skilled midwife and double-qualified nurse with specialized training in elder. Her compassionate approach extends to both patients and their families, ensuring the best possible care solutions.
Born in Ewossa, Edo State, she completed her primary education locally and her secondary education at Uselu Secondary School in 1991. Magdalene’s nursing journey began at the Zuma School of Midwifery, Irrua, from 1991 to 1994, where she also served as a class representative. She continued her education at the State School of Nursing, Benin City.
Magdalene initiated her career at Bethel Faith Medical Center in Benin City, collaborating with various medical professionals. Subsequently, she worked in private clinics alongside top medical practitioners before securing a nursing position at UBTH in 2013, where she has risen to the role of Principal Nursing Officer.
Her career at UBTH commenced in the labor ward section before her reassignment to specialize in geriatric care. Magdalene is a pioneer member of the Geriatrics Unit, established in 2014. Beyond her professional achievements, she enjoys a fulfilling married life enriched with divine blessings.
