The newly elected executives of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) Edo State branch paid a courtesy call on the Management of University of Benin Teaching Hospital. The executives were led by Dr Harrison Omokhua-Chairman
Dr Amina Okhakhu – Deputy Chairman, Dr John Blaze Oamen-Secretary. Dr Enodiana Osemwengie- Deputy Secretary. Dr Eustace Oseghale-Treasurer.

The University of Benin Teaching Hospital was taken over by the Federal Government on April 1st, 1975 as the fifth teaching hospital coming after Ibadan Teaching Hospital and Lagos Teaching Hospital.
