Oluwasola earned a bachelor’s in occupational therapy from SRM University, India. She has over 15 years of clinical experience in various care settings, including more than eight years of experience caring for older adults in inpatient and outpatient hospital and home-based settings in Nigeria and internationally.
She has contributed as an Occupational Therapist to the Elder Friendly Hospitals Initiative launched at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital and is still a promoter of such movements.
She is presently a Senior Occupational Therapist at Hull Royal Infirmary Hospital (Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust) United Kingdom, where her primary responsibilities include rendering Occupational Therapy services in an acute setting and ensuring safe discharge of patients.
Her passion includes OT program development and implementation in elderly care facilities and advocacy of safe and accessible homes for older adults (fall prevention, wellness, independence, moving and handling, positioning, splinting, and community integration).
Over the years, she has supervised and mentored therapists and students’ clinical practice and contributed to the training of Geriatrics health care providers in Nigeria and internationally.
