Outstanding Results at 2023 Postgraduate Medical Examinations

In a remarkable display of excellence, seven residents at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) have achieved outstanding results in their Part I/II exams conducted by the National Postgraduate Medical College and the West Africa College in 2023.

These outstanding individuals have showcased their exceptional talents and commitment to their respective fields, bringing pride and honor to our institution.
The distinguished residents and their respective achievements are as follows:

1.Dr. Timothy Omodele Aina – Best NPMCN Part II examination in Neurology

2.Dr. Imuetiyan Rashida Edeki – Best NPMCN Part II examination in Nephrology

3.Dr Mabel Akpede – Best NPMCN Part II examination in Radiology

4.     Dr. Funmilola Adio – Best NPMCN Part I examination in Community Medicine

5.Dr. Oluwatosin Olu – Best NPMCN Part I examination in Pathology

6.Dr. Esosa Faith Aluya – Best NPMCN Part I examination in Internal Medicine

7. Dr. Osarobo Obahiagbon – Best WACS Part I examination in Obstetrics and Gynaecology
These remarkable achievements are a testament to their unwavering commitment to excellence and the rigorous training and mentorship they have received from our esteemed consultants and senior residents. Through outstanding patient care, seminars, and other forms of guidance, these residents have honed their skills to perfection.
The entire management team, led by the Chief Medical Director (CMD) of UBTH, extends heartfelt congratulations to these exceptional residents. Their dedication and hard work have not only brought honor to themselves but have also elevated the reputation of our institution.

The University of Benin Teaching Hospital was taken over by the Federal Government on April 1st, 1975 as the fifth teaching hospital coming after Ibadan Teaching Hospital and Lagos Teaching Hospital.
