SONUBTHA RENOVATES SCHOOL, GIVES AWARD TO OUTSTANDING STUDENT

The School of Nursing UBTH Alumni Association (SONUBTHA) as part of her objective to give back to their alma mater recently painted the School of Nursing  UBTH and gave an award to the most outstanding student.

Intimating the Chief Medical Director Prof D.E Obaseki of their activities during a courtesy visit, Mrs. E. Osazuwa the National President of SONUBTHA accompanied by the HOD School of Nursing Mrs. A.B. Eweka stated that the International and National chapters of the association are very proud of the School and have been very involved in ensuring that the learning environment of the students is optimal.

Also as part of encouraging students, the international chapter has been giving an annual award to outstanding students for the past ten (10) years. Other activities previously carried out by the association include painting of the hostel, purchase of a generator set and projector, etc.

Responding, the CMD thanked the association for their heir generous donations and enjoined other alumni associations to emulate them. He also stated that beyond donations, the association should aspire to have mentorship programmes for the students as the youths of today need credible mentors to help shape their future. He looked forward to more collaborations with the association
