Prof. Vivian O Omuemu, is a distinguished Professor of Public Health and Community Medicine, the Deputy Provost, of the College of Medical Sciences UNIBEN and Co-ordinator Centre for Disease Control UBTH.
Prof (Mrs) Omuemu played a very vital role in the just concluded UBTH@50 anniversary celebrations. She was a member of the Central Working Committee and Chairperson of the Documentation Sub-Committee.
She was saddled with the responsibility of coordinating the free cancer screening exercise in the month of January. This was a major highlight of the UBTH@50 giving back series where close to 1000 persons were comprehensively screened for, prostate, cervical and breast cancer. The success of that programme is a testament to her expertise in community medicine in view of the smooth execution of this essential initiative.
As Chairperson of the Documentation Sub-Committee, this Amazon further enhanced the success of the UBTH @50 celebrations by superintending the production of a comprehensive commemorative magazine that highlights the hospital’s contribution to healthcare in the last 50 years, produced a well-structured programme of events and a compelling documentary about the Hospital.
We celebrate her for her diligence, sacrifice, meticulous attention to detail and unwavering commitment to the cause of the University of Benin Teaching Hospital.
In spite of her status, she is humble, friendly and easily accessible to both colleagues and students.
We celebrate Prof. (Mrs) Vivian Omuemu, an epitome of beauty, brain and pride of the University of Benin Teaching Hospital.
Congratulations and more power to your elbow.
