On Monday, May 27th, 2024, the Paediatric Dentistry Unit of the University of Benin Teaching Hospital commemorated the 2024 Children’s Day celebration, themed “Inclusion for Every Child”.
As part of our commitment to promoting oral health and well-being among children, our team provided complimentary oral health screenings and treatments, including scaling and polishing, extractions, and pulp therapy.
Additionally, we conducted educational sessions on proper oral hygiene and dietary habits.
The celebration also featured a fun-filled party with engaging games, quizzes, health talks, and dancing, which brought joy and excitement to the children.
We extend our sincere appreciation to Colgate for their generous sponsorship and also thank Ivieva Foundation for their insightful talk and gifts to the children.
Representing the Chief Medical Director of UBTH, the Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee, Prof. Stanley Okugbo, welcomed the children and wished them a wonderful celebration. Also, present at the event were the DCMAC Training and Monitoring, Dr. Fidelis Eki-Udoko, and the DCMAC Research and Ethics, Dr. Esohe Ogboghodo.
