University of Benin Teaching Hospital Webinar

Today, our Hospital Management held a web-based seminar on the current situation of the Coronavirus pandemic as it affects the Hospital and society at large. The webinar was also to promote more awareness and to strengthen the need to adhere to all precautions.

In attendance was our Board Chairman, Bashorun Adedoja Adewolu, Mfr, FHAN and the Director-General of NCDC represented by Dr Tochi Okwor. Others present were the Edo State WHO Representative, Mrs Faith Ireye, the Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) link for Edo State Government and UBTH, Uzor Okonma and Staff of the Hospital both within the State and the diaspora.

The University of Benin Teaching Hospital was taken over by the Federal Government on April 1st, 1975 as the fifth teaching hospital coming after Ibadan Teaching Hospital and Lagos Teaching Hospital.
