The purpose of this esteemed visit was twofold: to pay a courtesy call on UBTH’s management and to inspect the state-of-the-art dialysis equipment generously donated by Sahara Group Foundation.

During her address to the hospital’s management, Ejiro Gray conveyed the Foundation’s commitment to positively impacting healthcare institutions, emphasizing that their mission extends beyond mere equipment provision. They take great care to ensure the proper utilization of the equipment they donate, with the ultimate goal of bringing hope and relief to the numerous patients who seek medical care at UBTH from various corners of the nation. In response, Prof. Darlington Ewaen Obaseki, the Chief Medical Director of UBTH, extended heartfelt gratitude to Ejiro Gray and her team for their altruistic gesture towards the healthcare sector.

Prof. Darlington underlined the importance of increased philanthropic investment in healthcare, citing the challenges of limited government funding due to the prevailing economic circumstances.

He assured UBTH’s management of continued collaboration and engagement with the group in the future.
