Improving Water Quality at UBTH: An essential Infrastructure Upgrade

We are pleased to announce the launch of potable water services at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH), courtesy of the cutting-edge UBTH Water Treatment Project.
This state-of-the-art project, spearheaded by our technologically adept Chief Medical Director, represents the culmination of an 18-month initiative to implement an advanced 8-stage Water Treatment Plant. With an impressive production capacity of 10,000 liters per hour, this plant utilizes cutting-edge purification techniques, including chemical disinfection, iron removal, high-pressure filtration, microfiltration, and UV disinfection.
Engineered for optimal performance, the plant incorporates materials of the highest quality, such as stainless steel, PVC, and Fiber Reinforced Plastic, ensuring both durability and ease of maintenance.
Additionally, the plant includes a water distribution pressure skid, guaranteeing high-pressure water delivery throughout the hospital premises.
This groundbreaking upgrade ensures that taps across the hospital will now dispense safe, potable water. This significant enhancement directly contributes to the welfare of our dedicated staff, patients, and visitors. By prioritizing health and well-being, we reaffirm our commitment to excellence in healthcare delivery at UBTH.
