The quiz competition was held on the 19th November 2025 at the UBTH VIP Lounge brought together seven (Departments) from two of the University of Benin Teaching Hospital schools for an engaging and intellectually stimulating contest on antimicrobial stewardship.
At the end of the competition, the Department of Nursing of the College of Nursing Sciences emerged in first place, followed by the Department of Midwifery in second place, while the Environmental Health Department from the school of health information sciences and technology secured third place.
Other schools that participated in the Quiz competition include: Paramedic Technology, Anaesthetic technician, Public Health Nursing, and the Department of Health Information.
The UBTH management and the Antimicrobial stewardship committee commend all participating teams for their outstanding performance, teamwork and display of academic excellence.
Their participation underscores the increasing commitment among healthcare trainees to the global effort against antimicrobial resistance.
