Cancer remains one of the leading causes of death worldwide, affecting millions across all ages and backgrounds. It occurs when abnormal cells grow uncontrollably, forming tumors that can spread to various organs. This year’s theme, “United by Unique”, highlights the power of collective action while recognizing that every cancer journey is different. Whether as patients, caregivers, healthcare professionals, or advocates, we all have a role to play in the fight against cancer. This World Cancer Day 2025, join UBTH as we raise awareness, promote early detection, and support those battling cancer. Cancer is not a death sentence. With early diagnosis and proper treatment, survival rates continue to improve. Together, we can make a difference.
